Jobs Plus Nashville (JPN) in partnership with Taking a Leap Forward (TALF), is preparing for our It Takes a Village…Community Baby Shower. JPN is a community-based jobs training program serving the residents of Sudekum Apartments and Napier Place housing developments. TALF is a ROSS-Social Services grant for Napier Place residents in hopes of helping them become self-sufficient by focusing on employment, education, job training and mental health. This community event will feature a mix of education, motivation, financial empowerment and opportunity for expecting/new mothers and fathers. Our focus will be “Juggling Work and Parenthood” as well as Infant Safe Sleep Ambassadors training for parents by the Metro Public Health Department. We would greatly appreciate you making a donation to our event in the form of gently used baby items needed for expecting and new mothers/fathers that will be used as gifts. We extend our deepest appreciation for any support you can provide as we seek to serve, equip and empower our residents to realize their greater employment and life possibilities. Please drop donations of gently used (or new) baby items at the Brookmeade office by Sunday, August 20th.
