Following worship on Sunday, July 9th, a great potluck celebratory luncheon is planned for Brookmeade’s 70th anniversary! Yes, it’s been 70 years since Brookmeade Congregational Church was founded in July 1953 by a faithful remnant of progressive Christians from the previously disbanded Collegeside Congregational Church started in 1928.
Holy Trinity UCC will be joining us in worship and for the potluck celebration following worship. Highly regarded singer/songwriter/guitarist & musical producer/engineer Dave Coleman returns in concert to be with us again to provide music for the soul! Now a resident of Nashville, Dave Coleman’s roots are in East Tennessee with all the musical influences of that region, describing his music as “roots-rock”! Dave is a talented young man deeply involved at Nashville’s historic Downtown Presbyterian Church where many other musicians have found a spiritual home, and serves as a Deacon there.
Save the Date of July 9th! Worship Service @ 10:30 AM, followed by our Brookmeade Anniversary Potluck Celebration @ 11:30 AM, both in the sanctuary of the church.
