Monday, 5/20: Green Church Lighting Seminar

Brookmeade UCC (located at 700 Bresslyn Road, Nashville, TN 37205) will be hosting a green church lighting seminar on Monday, May 20th at 6:30 pm! Would you like to learn how to upgrade the lighting in your church to create a more welcoming atmosphere, while saving money and energy in the process? Steve Jones is an expert in this area and is here to answer all your questions! Steve will teach us how to update church lighting to LEDs, saving 1000s of kilowatt hours. This is a free seminar open to the public.

For those unable to attend in person, you can watch one of Steve’s videos on the topic here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuA5UNO2JTM

However, we encourage everyone to attend the seminar in person if they are able as there are several advantages of attending in person. Steve will bring his light board to show different types of bulbs available and their effects and attendees can ask specific questions about how this will benefit their church and minimize their environmental impact.

Please spread the word about this event to any neighboring churches and religious centers you think may be interested in this free seminar! Thank you for helping us spread the word about this event! For more information please contact the Brookmeade office (brookmeade@comcast.net, 615-352-4702, www.brookmeadeucc.org)

We still need help locating relatives who had family members interred in the original memorial garden so they can be invited to our upcoming dedication service on Sunday, 4/28. If you know any of these individuals, or would like to receive the full list of names of folks who are honored there, please contact Adora, Mike or Jon.

We continue to welcome and receive the generosity of our congregation and community toward our Capital Campaign to build our beautiful memorial garden. Consider how you might support and sustain the work and growth of God’s work in our midst. This garden, built for memorial and meditation, serves as a reminder of our foundation and our future. The Garden Capital Campaign has raised $10,618 as of February 29, 2024. We are so appreciative and grateful for those who have contributed and continue to do so!
