All of our new friends are invited to learn more about Brookmeade and consider joining our church. We will gather on Saturday, April 15th from 9 am to 12 pm to find out more about that process and about Brookmeade. Brookmeade will be hosting a Potluck dinner and worship service with Holy Communion on April 13th, Maundy Thursday, beginning at 6 pm. Please sign up in the fellowship hall.
Howard Congregational UCC (2802 Buchanan St.) will be hosting a Good Friday worship service on April 14th at 6 pm.
Ministers from Howard UCC will join our ministry team to lead both worship services. The Howard UCC Choir will be singing at Brookmeade on Maundy Thursday.
Join us on March 31st for dessert and games at 7:00 pm. Bring a friend and your favorite game(s) to play or learn a game you’ve never played before. Puzzles are welcome too, as well as children’s games. State Fair Funnel Cakes, Dessert and beverages will be provided, but we are looking for help setting up and cleaning up. Set up will be at 5:30 pm and clean up whenever the fun ends. Sign up on the sheet on the Community Life Board in the hall or call the church office and leave a message if you and your guests are planning on attending on the 31st.
One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) offering will be taken on March 26th. This is one of five special National UCC offerings. The theme this year is “You are here” which could easily be the response to a question provoked by tragedy, fear or suffering. As soon as a person calls on God, God is here. OGHS enables the United Church of Christ to reach people and communities affected by disaster, displacement or poverty. OGHS shows the church uniting to respond to the many critical needs present in our world today. Our support is given through partner organizations responding to health, education and agricultural development needs, refugee initiatives and both international and domestic disaster response. Please use the special envelopes for your contribution, every gift allows us to say “You are here”.

It’s time to order Easter Lilies and Hydrangeas! There are order forms located in the front foyer, or you can contact the office to place your order (615-352-4702; brookmeade@comcast.net). All forms and payment must be turned into the church office no later than Sunday, March 19th, 2017.
