Sat. Dec. 24th: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Saturday, December 24th.

This special service of hymns and readings is a Brookmeade tradition, and a wonderful way to remind us of the real reason for the season.

Please invite your family and friends to attend this special service as we celebrate the joy of Christmas.

Sun. Dec. 4th: Rise&Shine! All Ages Sunday School

Come join us for Rise and Shine! on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:15 am. Learning and growing activities for all ages.

This week’s lesson is about the Liturgical Calendar.

Since we are now holding Sunday School before the service, kids above kindergarten age are invited to worship with us at the 10:30 am service. Remember to grab a kid’s worship activity bag from the front foyer!

Donate Purses to the Homeless Women’s Shelter by Dec. 11th

We are collecting women’s purses to give to the Homeless Women’s Shelter for Christmas. If you a have a used purse you can donate, or if you can help by purchasing items to fill these purses, please bring all items to church by December 11th. The following items are needed: Kleenex single packs, feminine products, lip balm, hand lotion, combs, brushes, fingernail files, hand sanitizer, gloves, sunscreen, flashlights, etc. We also would like to put in  $5.00 or $10.00 in small denomination gift cards to Target, Walgreens, Kroger, McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, CVS, Cracker Barrel, etc. Please call Adora if you have a donation that needs to be picked up.

Sun. Dec. 4th: RITI Christmas Benefit Concert

On Sunday, Dec. 4th at 3 pm, the Concert Chorale of Nashville and Orchestra will be presenting a concert “What Sweeter Music: Christmas Classics and Favorites” at St. Henry Catholic Church (6401 Harding Pike, 37205).  Admission is free, but a group of “angels” will donate $1 to Room in the Inn for every person in attendance! What an easy way to help support this great cause!

Sun. Dec. 18th: UCC Christmas Fund Offering

Brookmeade will be taking one of our five UCC special offerings “The Christmas Fund” on December 18th. The Christmas Fund for the Veterans of the Cross and the Emergency Fund, remembers those who serve our church. It helps provide pension and health premium supplementation to lower-income retired church workers, emergency assistance to clergy of lay church employees in need. The fund does not support programs of institutions but people. With your continued generosity, more individuals will receive the support of the Church in their time of need. Special envelopes will be in the bulletin on December 18th.
