Sun. April 28th: RISE Part 2, Congregational Meeting and Potluck

potluck rise part 2 april 28 2019

RISE, Part 2, the Gathering, will be another lovely potluck and it will be combined with the congregational meeting right after church.  We will be diving further into the responses from the initial RISE question packet (please contact the church office if you have not received it and would like to add to the questions relevant to Brookmeade).  This will be a time of Venn Diagramming so that we can combine our perspectives into a unified vision and mission statement for Brookmeade in light of a rich and deep history that has created a vibrant and diverse environment where all are welcome.  This language that we develop together will be used on Brookmeade’s website and word-of-mouth communication.  This will help us usher in new pastors as we will be able to communicate who we are through this work that we are doing! Come join the work Sunday, April 28th at 11:30am after church! Bring a dish for the potluck or just come and enjoy.  All are welcome.

Thurs. April 18th: Maundy Thursday Service & Potluck

maundy thursday 2019

Sat. April 13th: Spring Clean Up Day

outdoor work day 4.13.19

Let us join together Saturday, April 13 at 9am for Spring Clean-up! The Easter Sunrise Service banner needs to be hung, the meditation garden needs TLC for a memorial service and the sunrise service, and I even hear there is some painting that needs to be done! While spring cleaning isn’t the most exciting task on the list of to do’s, it is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, work together, and show some appreciation and care for the land we reside. There is a role for everyone, no contribution is too small. In fact, the most important role may be showing up with donuts! Come, eat a donut and show appreciation and love to the land Brookmeade resides.
