Sunday, May 20th: Strengthen the Church UCC Offering

On Sunday May 20th, Pentecost Sunday we will take up the offering Strengthen the Church.The Strengthen the Church offering supports the expansion of ministry and growth of UCC local congregations. Your support of this offering will help the UCC fulfill on its commitment to creating a just world for all by investing in new ministries and practices that meet the emerging needs of local communities. This is one of the five UCC offerings that Brookmeade participates in every year. Look for the special offering envelopes in the bulletin.

Sun. May 6th: Nature Sunday

We invite you to join us for our annual Nature Sunday service on May 6th, 2018. Services will be held at Edwin Warner Park (50 Vaughn Rd. Nashville, 37221) at 10:30am. We will meet at picnic shelter 11 of the park, and have a short, informal service  (casual dress encouraged), followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring a covered dish or drink to share, and any outdoor sports equipment (there is a ball field by the shelter), or feel free to take a nature walk after the potluck. There will be no service held at Brookmeade on Sunday, May 6th, so we hope to see you at the park!

NATURE SUNDAY

Sat. May 19th: Upper Room UCC Potluck

For a Spring Potluck Supper of the Upper Room UCC Fellowship, we’ll join with our other two Nashville-area UCC churches (Holy Trinity Community Church & Howard Congregational Church) on May 19th @ 5:30 PM! Event Site: Holy Trinity Community Church, 6727 Charlotte Pk. This will be a Spring potluck supper gathering of the Nashville-area UCC to grow in prayer & communion with God and to grow in fellowship with one another! Special Guest Speaker from Birmingham: Rev. J. R. Finney, Moderator of the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ!  Evening’s theme: “God is Working & Stillspeaking!” Bring family, friends & favorite casserole for great UCC fellowship and inspiration! Childcare Provided.
